Massage for stress relief can be done as frequently as once or twice a week and modified to support lymphatic drainage and fascia restoration. Deeper work for acute tension needs to allow space between appointments for your body to integrate the work and allow for recovery.

Your appointment will begin with a grounding foot soak and quick consultation to fomulate a plan for the session. You’ll then be given privacy to undress and get comfortable on the massage table. Jennifer is trained in Swedish style massage which utilizes oil on the skin to allow for the gliding movements this style is known for.
During your massage, you are in complete control of conversation, pressure, and your comfort. This is not a mandated series of movements to create a massage service; Jennifer will customize and modify each session to your unique needs in the moment. You’re different from day to day, your massage should be, too.

Massage is a unique treatment as it causes change on multiple levels of our anatomy. Often what we experience as pain is our muscle being trapped in tight fascia that has been triggered by our autonomic nervous system. The muslce is being deprived of oxygen as the tight fascia is limiting circulation of blood and water. With massage we help release the trapped muscle by relaxing the fascia and restoring proper circulation to the area.
But the real shift happens by allowing our body to be back in the control of the parasympathetic nervous system. As we reduce pain in our body, we reduce the stress on our spirit. We feel restored to our true self because we aren’t meant to live in constant pain. We are meant to be relaxed, we are meant to rest after stress and physical exertion, we are meant to be well.
